Joshua, can you give me a tip on how to recreate the Default User folders in Windows Vista.

I messed up the Default User area, recreated a Default folder (which was needed I have learned for Windows Update to work correctly) and would like to have Default User in its original state with the folders as they originally were. Suggestions?

…. and please forgive this intrusion. I googled … recreate Default User folders in Windows Vista … and you were one of the first hits.

    Thanks, Dave Horne

Who are you? Do you work for Microsoft?

It would be useful if you fill in this page so we, the readers, have some context as to who is posting!🙂

    Hi Joshua,
I have used your excellent instructions for moving the Users directory in Vista from the default C: to D: drives. Do you know if the instructions hold good for Windows 7? If not, have you figured out a method of doing so? If you have, then I would be very grateful to learn from your experience.

    Kind regards,
    Chris
